THE ENGLISH AREA

 

THE ENGLISH AREA


This academic area develops its vision focused on two fields, which are a theorical field (semantics, content based on learning, task based) and the linguistic competences (linguistic, pragmatic and socio-linguistic). Of course, all these concepts connected with the communicative skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). However, teachers from this high school must consider some aspects in terms of diagnosis, improvement plans, strategies and others. This area also has as purpose the formation of students not just in the acquisition of a second language but also using different methodologies to develop language skills in the regular students and students with special needs.  

This area has as objective, the development of abilities related to expression and production of texts, which are crucial in the acquisition of second languages like English. On the other hand, the English area in this place pretend to motivate their students creating environments to improve those difficulties that some of them can have during the learning process. That is why teachers propose an idea in which they provide tutorials some days of the week that helps in cases where the students do not understand the topics that were offered at the beginning of the year.
